 
Mission
The Amazonas Sustainable Foundation mission is to promote the sustainable involvement, environmental conservation and life quality improvement for the resident communities and users of the Amazonas State Conservation Units.
The actions are directed to reduce deforestation and poverty eradication; social organization support; improvement of social indicators and income generation based on sustainable activities.
Goals
- Develop and manage programs and projects on Climate Change, Environmental Conservation and Sustainable Development;
- Manage environmental services and products, especially from Amazonas State Conservation Units;
- Establish cooperation agreements with public and private institutions, social movements, environmental organizations and research institutions committed to developing programs and projects on Climate Change, Environmental Conservation and Sustainable Development.
Activities
- Implement programs and actions aimed at poverty eradication and sustainable income generation;
- Support monitoring, inspection, conservation and sustainable management of protected areas in the State of Amazonas;
- Promote reforestation and activities leading to reduction of deforestation and restoration of degraded areas;
- Support actions that aim at reducing greenhouse gas emission;
- Encourage the development of technologies and projects and the use of clean energy;
- Implement actions on environmental education and technical training focused on climate change and sustainable development;
- Develop products and services which contribute to environmental conservation;
- Support scientific, technological and social programs and projects aimed at sustainable development;
- Promote information exchange and technical cooperation with Brazilian and/or international institutions, in order to empower educational, research and sustainable development institutions;
- Promote and support activities aimed at environmental conservation, improvement of human subsistence and sustainable development.
